straight rye

2024 San Francisco world spirits competition gold medal winner

Crafted locally in San Diego, Storyhouse Spirit’s Straight Rye Whiskey is an artisanal rye with a unique twist. Aged for a minimum of five years, this rye whiskey gets an extra layer of complexity from a “nap” in Cabernet barrels from our sister winery. The result? A smooth and silky whiskey with hints of dark chocolate, warm spice, and dried fruit, leaving you wanting more.

small batch craftsmanship

Crafted with the distinct spirit of Southern California, Storyhouse Rye captures that coastal ease, blending local ingredients and artisanal technique. Cigar box and vanilla on the nose followed by layers of cascading flavors including mild spice, raisin, and stone fruit. At 90 proof, it strikes the perfect balance: bold and expressive, yet approachable for sipping solo or elevating classic cocktails.

This rye whiskey received a GOLD medal at the 2024 San Francisco Spirits Competition. The competition stands as the most prestigious spirits competition in the world, setting the industry standard for excellence.
